Rules and conditions

The Ogee Design Magazine Photography Awards ("the Competition") The Competition is organised by Design Factory Marbella . (“the Organisers”).
Anyone can enter except those directly involved with the Organisers or the Sponsors. Entrants are responsible for ensuring that they have read and abided by the Competition Rules set out in this document. By submitting an entry you agree to the Competition Rules and the Organisers requirements. Entries that do not abide by the Competition Rules and Organisers Requirements will be disqualified. Any entries that are disqualified will not be entitled to any prizes. The Organisers decisions in relation to the Competition are final and binding, no negotiation will be considered.
The competition is annual. The Awards open on February 10th 2017 and close at midnight on Sunday 5th November 2017.  
The overall winner as decided by the judges will be designated as the Ogee Design Magazine Photographer of the Year.
The winners will be announced at……………………………., Marbella. Ogee Design Magazine will promote the winners and their images.
Images shot with any form of photographic equipment are accepted, as long as they meet the image specifications set out in section 9. Images shot on both film and digital cameras are accepted but entry is only possible via digital submission
Digital manipulation may be used to optimise your images; cropping, brightness, contrast, colour balance, dust spot and minor artefact removal and HDR are all permitted.
The Entrant must be the author and own all rights to the images entered, entry of the image must not infringe the rights of any other party. The Entrant holds the legal responsibility for ensuring that the entered images comply with these ownership and copyright requirements. The Organisers do not make any claim on the copyright of the images, the photographer will retain the copyright at all times.
By entering the Competition the Entrant grants the Organisers and Award Partners and Sponsors a non-exclusive irrevocable license to reproduce, publish and communicate to the public by any means and exhibit their image(s) and copies of their image(s) in all media throughout the world, including social media and only in relation to the Competition.
This may include, but is not limited to: inclusion in a book of winning and commended images; display at exhibitions and publicity materials and display on a web browser for judging purposes; on the competition website and on the websites of sponsors and supporters; on social media used by the competition, its sponsors and supporters; for use in releases to be distributed to national, regional & specialist press and other media giving information about or promoting the competition.
The organisers and sponsors will endeavour to ensure the photographer will always be credited when their images are used.
Images must meet these technical specifications:
5MB minimum size when uncompressed at 300dpi
High resolution Jpeg format
Filename: photographers name_category_image number_jpg (Eg: JohnSmith_OGEE_01_jpg)
All images must contain the following information in the metadata;
Photographers name, contact details and PayPal reference (if applicable)
Project name, Building type, Architect, Location, Country
Clients name (If applicable)
and Date Shot (must match camera data) 
By We Transfer or similar, NOT Dropbox

Images submitted without the correct file names or metadata may not be considered.
Please note that all submissions must arrive by the deadline of Midnight Sunday 5th November 2017
You hold all permissions needed for the exploitation of the images by third parties in print, online and for inclusion in an exhibition. Including without limitation, from subjects or owners of products or property depicted. Any exercise of the these rights and permissions shall not violate the rights of any third party including without limitation, the rights of the subject of the images, in particular with regards to laws relating to trade mark, copyright, privacy, publicity and defamation within the EU, UK, USA or elsewhere.
By entering, each entrant confirms and warrants that: 
They have received any necessary permissions from the owner(s) of objects including buildings and people included in the images for the usage rights required by the competition and will indemnify the competition against any claims made by any third parties in respect of such infringement.
Proof of online submission cannot be considered proof of receipt by the organisers. The Organisers regret that they cannot accept liability for any loss or damage of any image entered into the Competition however it is caused. The Organisers regret that they cannot accept liability for the misuse of images and/or failure of any third party to comply with the Competition’s credit guideline. No images can be returned after the completion of the Competition.
All prize winners will agree to take part in publicity about the awards after the results are announced.
All rights to Ogee Design Magazine Photography Awards Competition reside with the Organisers partners and sponsors.
The rules of the Competition and the relationship between the Competition and its entrants shall be governed by Spanish law. Any dispute may be decided by the Spanish courts.
